The Borno Police command has clarified that 10 ladies rescued from Boko Haram are neither police ladies nor wives of police personnel.

It will likely be recalled that the Federal Authorities in a press release had on Saturday introduced launch of 13 individuals by the Boko Haram insurgents, sequel to negotiations brokered by the Worldwide Committee of Purple Cross (ICRC).

The freed individuals are three male staff of the College of Maiduguri and 10 ladies, kidnapped in a raid by the militant group on a navy/police convoy on Damboa Highway, between June and July, 2017, in Borno State.
