President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday was hosted Gambia’s President Adama Barrow at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, behind closed doors.

This the second time Gambian President, Barrrow would be visiting President Buhari since he assumed the position of the president on Feb. 19, 2017.

The 51-year-old Gambian president was received at the forecourt of the presidential villa at about 3.10p.m by his Nigerian counterpart.

Naija News recalled that President Buhari placed an important role in the smooth democratic transition in Gambia when the former Gambian President Yahya Jammeh refused to step aside. He was appointed by the ECOWAS as mediator for the Gambian political impasse.
