Four filling stations in Sokoto and Kebbi state have been sealed by The Department of Petroleum Resources for violating operational rules. Three were sealed off in Sokoto and one in Kebbi State.
Newsmen reported this today coming from the Zonal Operation Controller of DPR in Sokoto, Alhaji Mohammed Makera.
Makera said the filling stations were reported of selling petrol above the standard rate of N145 per liter.
Makera further explained that the DPR had enforced the sale of petrol at nothing higher than the rate of N145 in the two states.
He said officials of DPR would maintain surveillance of the the two states to ensure that motorists are not cheated by marketers.
The DPR had sealed six filling stations earlier in these states.
